If you have any affection for British comedy (from Stan Laurel to Mitchell and Webb), then trust me you will love this, almost silent (but for sound effects and some mumbling) film from the 1960s.

Starring, almost every famous British comedian of the time, [but mainly] Eric Sykes and Tommy Cooper, The Plank (this really is a treat).

Drink Recommendations for viewing: Best watched with Brown Ale, Light and Bitter and Boilermakers.

Talking of which, Kung Fu Hustle (full movie). Drinking, martial arts and comedy, what's not to like?

Recommendations for booze whilst watching: Rice Wine, Tsingtao beer and that weird liquor with the snake in the bottle (or Whisky, which is not only popular in China but a lot nicer than the weird snake liquor).

and by the way, the screaming lady in the airport used to live just down the street from us. She would get that excited if recycle day got moved up a week.

Seriously, could that trailer suck any more if it had a cord and a label saying, Electrolux?

Star Trek: Of Gods and Men (full movie).

Drink Recommendations: Romulan Ale, Saurian Brandy, that Green Stuff, Scotty's Engine-room hooch (whatever you can get your hands on, really).

And you know, I feel so disloyal for saying that, because I love the movie, love the actors, love Mel Brooks like I loved my grandaddy who gave me peppermints and let me listen to Vin Scully with him. But choppy, like a bad day on the bay, when you don't even catch any fish because they all have motion sickness from the sea roiling, and roiling, and--excuse me. I have to run.
