Finally, no other country on the planet, whose government has even one collective brain cell, would be willing to take America's legal, political and humanitarian mess off our hands, unless that country would receive the kinds of $$$$, military, trade, etc, concessions/favors that I couldn't (and wouldn't want to) even imagine.

The last part, up there, denotes the idea that in such a conglomerate of energy producers for our planet's petroleum usage, a massive amount of money behind the drive to squeeze every last drop of oil up from the ground will now begin to utilize our last resource: potable water, in order to frack us the hell up.

And then drive prices for such a resource as drinkable water.

As far as I know, virtually all of the post-9/11, Muslim terrorist suspects are still being held as "enemy combatants" -- therefore, no civilian habeas corpus rights. Also, I believe (but not positive) that some of their countries of origin have indicated that they won't accept/repatriate them. It's a mess.

I remember driving home from work and hearing on public radio the announcement about the formation of the Department of Homeland Security. I was pulling into a convrenient store to buy a 30 pack and laughed. I thought "that's funny; that sounds eerily like the Reichssicherheitshauptamt" then I thought "that's not funny; it's scary."

Dick Cheney's administration was one of the worst thing that has happened to this country.
