Ok, you haven't been here in a while. What's your excuse?

Me, I've spent the months since I've returned home searching for the elusive chupacabra. I understand they frequent my local watering holes.

I'll keep you posted.

I've been distracted but pretty soused overall. How long is 'a while?' 3-4 days?

Nah, maybe a month or series of months. Thought it'd be interesting to see what people have been up to or down with in their absence from our li'l nabe. And castigate them appropriately. Except for Palmy - he needs a bloody machete to get to us. And when I say bloody I don't mean it in the British cursing sense - I mean he needs an actual bloody machete to get to the intertron in his forsaken neck of the literal woods.

Was on vacation in Mexico for a bit, from what I can remember it was fun.
After that just kind of been dealing with work negotiation stuff and quietly drinking away the nights before going back to work.
Honestly, things have been just about the same but too distracted to swing by here before passing the fuck out in bed for the next day. Mostly just a lot of work and boring shit followed by some tunes and a whiskey.
How ya`ll shitrats been?

Excellent wondering, young Lady. This newbie would like to engage in such a consideration. (I've always found a warm spot in the heart and a firmness for (ahem) ...I mean, I quite dig smart chicks.)

I've not been away for months fighting in the jungle against the dries, but the wandering stars who have are those who've been riding the fence lines for many years, here in this marvelous perpetual party held by the indefagitable FKR for eons in a drunkard's memory of their visits.

The watering hole is always well stocked, and the top shelf drink is the elixir of our communal experience of lovely Miss Ethyl, written in however we can manage on our connective devices. I am no stranger to mis-typing my words, and no one must judge another for Drunkard spelling. That is our lexicon. It is our flavor of this language that we share:

DRINK!

As for me, I have witnessed the obstacle of mental incongruity from the likes of my own beloved sister, and she has made it around the bend.

Whew.

She is on a good path now, and for whatever lies ahead, there is a spark that glints ahead in the misty fog of the midnight shoals, and it is a warm light that beckons.

I will perch my vessel and tie it up to the dock like a horse to the rail, and I will step back into this almighty Pub here, and I will take my place at a stool.

First round it on me, and it is Kraken rum.

Second round on me is whatever you glourious basterds prefer.

Come back, you wandering stars, and speak your tale to your friends, and consider me to be a new friend.

It's a cold, wet night that fights the light of the angry sun beyond the rim of the world, but he is hours away, in our perpetual night of this mighty, warm Pub. We have many songs and tales to share, isn't that right?

DRINK!

or something better said but well intentioned.

*chug*

carry on you marvelous Drunkards

It is right!

Glad to hear your sister is on a right path. She is blessed to have a brother such as yourself to look after her. And to her, and to you, in the words of your newbie self, DRINK!

The last year for me has been kinda crazy, which has kept me away from the computer, but not the sauce. My wife and I had our first child last November and then closed on a house three weeks later. Free advice......don't ever do that. After the move, the first 6-8 months were rough with our son, but now things are starting to sail a bit smoother since he'll sleep through the night. The little snot is even starting to show some personality :)
