Lemmy might take exception to that.

Plus Tony's resting place can now be a must stop if going there, to pay proper homage.

I saw some postings on fakebook that suggested that Tony died. I hoped it was all jockular MDM euphammism the he was merely Leaving Rochester..or Las Vegas...or America....but not that he actually was leaving earthly existence. Oggar just confirmed to me that the poor drunk bastard was dead. Well that's the shits. Mayhem represented to me the epitome of what was not only wrong with the direction of this board....but of post-modern life itself. Too self centered, too navel-gazing, too everything that I hated. One time he posted something bad about a homeless person and I couldn't believe it. How could you be all about the Drunkards and be anti-Homeless people? Most of us are one hangover-derived pink-slip away from being homeless ourselves. And even worse, most seemed to love his schtick. This was all too much for me to grasp. So, in my mind, I posted back at him to tell him how out of line, out of touch, out of everything he was to even be here and those that were on his side, well, all the more proof how the falcon could give a shit less about his falconer, the center not holding anything other than its own impotent Manhood, and how we were all slouching and stammering and stumbling away from Yeats and Behen and Gleason and towards the navalar-gaze of reality tv. But in real reality his post had not thing to do with what I read into it. And that's all it was.... me reading into it. Me seeing the crap stained post-modern America that I just thought was there, and Tony was the poor victim of an ideological driveby. He sent a lot of private messages my way and confirmed that he didnt mean what I thought he meant, he was just saying some meaningless shit on an alcohol-related internet thing and some other shit that suggested that although I will never get on board with what he writes on drunkard.com/bbs....he really seemed like a good guy I would love to drink with in real life. And now I will never get that chance and we are all worse-off because of it. Im currently about 5/6ths through a 12erof Summit Saga, and I will drink that last sxh to stupid fufckin Mayhem, I can't belive he's dead. Mayhem is dead...but for the luv of fuck, Long Live Mayhem!

This is one of those pictures they show at the end of movies......a time of great happiness before these people went on to lead the rest of their lives. Both tragic and nostalgic. We were never going to be who we were then again. I thank whatever god you believe in that we had that short time together. It was magical and somewhat hard to remember.

There should be some theme music for it.

fuck it Tony, you aren't supposed to be gone yet.

Like many others, I heard what had happened on Facebook. I haven't been on here for years, but it just felt right to come to the place where I first 'met' the juggernaut that was Mayhem. I may not have met him in person, but I still feel that he was someone I could call a friend.

I spent many a drunken evening on this board chatting to Mayhem, and you other wonderful crazy bastards, while I was drinking, or up with a terrible case of mudbutt thanks to drinking shitty American beer ;) ...

I am not allowed to drink much these days, thanks to some meds I am on, but I think that tonight is the night to have a quiet one, or two. No Brutal Hammers, though!

I will never forget you, Tony. See you at the Island.

Cheers xo

Oh man, a final Slainte to Tony.

I haven't been here in years too, but I will never forget you Tony. Always a kind word to say, that always lifted my spirits. I hope I did the same for you. My best friend Nakedandrunk, who I met here on this board, is beside herself.

Godspeed, my friend.

As with DJF I don't think there will be a last toast to Mayhem. For the next year all of my toasts will be to him, and I know that toast will echo though the ages.
