Bar carts

Post by ltwhiskas »

Best home decor or useless furniture to trip over and lose booze?

I just purchased an antique one online so there's my vote. Nothing like toting around a cart of alcohol while you entertain.

I once, accidently of course, pushed one over at a new years eve party before it even started.... Darn thing was seriously unsteady and not made to negotiate even the smallest of steps!

some friends of mine have one. despite being very much in favor of it, i haven't really seen the use. it's in their living room. i fyou need booze, you walk over to it....

it's cool and all, and last time i was there, the man o fthe hosue had to put it away on account o fthe children. well, child. well, unattendeed child. wasn't my fault.

i much prefer the kitchen table. it's larger and more stable. it also lives right by the fridge and all the snacks.
it's all good in the woods, nobody hears me when i scream.

This picture doesn't do it justice but the bar cart on the porch of "mr. hobbs takes a vacation" is set up in style.

I just keep thinking about the carts they use to take injured players off the field. Those seem like they could be useful for getting home from the bar.

The bar cart. Also known colloquially as a wife.

Nah, it would just end up like our bar cabinet; overflowing into the repurposed coat closet.

If you had a large house, plus a pool/patio/deck area, and did a lot of spur-of-the-moment entertaining, one of these might come in handy. Otherwise, I'd prefer a stationary liquor cabinet.

But if yours is an attractive and sturdy antique, and you have the room/floorspace for it, why not?

Some of my suburban friends talk about the shenanigans they get up to around Halloween, where the kids go trick-or-treating and the parents hang back and tow around a little red wagon of booze and mixers. Seems efficient.

As for home use, I think a liquor cabinet is a more fitting shrine to almighty booze, especially when compared to a rickety cart.

I've always been partial to one of these. I don't own one yet but someday.

I would love to hand out homemade treats to the TOTers, and mini booze to their parents (Parents? WTF? When I was a teeny-tiny Savage, we went out with our friends, or, if we were very little, with our friend's resentful older siblings.) *

Yes, but, given that you have aged backwards, who was going to mess with you.

I offer proof.
