I suppose you'll be wanting a 3 day weekend. July 4 is a Friday next year, so that's a possibility too. Plus then the pool might be open (and warmer).

But there's always the river.

We had talked about going this summer, actually. It appears you have anticipated my idea of bringing along an inner tube.

Small motel in Western Mass?
25 rooms?
Built in the 60's with decor to match????
4 Bedroom home a mere 7 miles away?
A cat that is cool with drunks?
A river across the road?
6 hole golf course?
Swimming pool AND a cement pond?
Restaurant attached to the motel w/ 3700 sq feet of drinking lounge and a stage AND a PA system.....
together with a gathering of some of the finest folk and booze on the planet?

So I ask you, W-W-TonyBaloneyMeatball-D?

He'd trim up his goatee, press his finest hawaiian shirt, pack that Jim Beam Black t-shirt, grab a couple extra pairs of ankle socks and his mandals and reserve a slot pronto.

If I can find Western Mass, I'm in.

In.
In, even if it means quitting my job.
In, even if I have to sell plasma to raise the cash.
In, even if I have to walk there.

SPACE MONKEY!!!!!!!!

If you fly through Detroit and NASA will allow another space monkey in the capsule, PM me and we can book flights from DTW to Slushfundville together. In fact, if anyone is routing through Detroit, PM and let's coordinate as many drunks as possible on the DTW to Slushfundville flight.

Pretty sure I'm in. My wife, because she will be on lazing about on maternity leave at the time, has granted me a letter of transit. Cannot be rescinded or even questioned.

FKR at the Con. With this news and the Jeopardy news, I feel some combination of the joy felt by Trotsky in November 1917, St James at the Ascension (allegedly), The Duke of Wellington after Waterloo and a drunkard, facing what he had thought to be his last drink until payday, who suddenly finds a hundred ($, £ or €) secreted away in a little used pocket!
