Re: Exciting Convention News!
I conversed with Smatter Noguts about this, he was apparently barred here. I don't know what this means as far as the convention goes though. He did ask me to give my regards to the board though.

I spoke to Don yesterday, and I'm in. I will also be accepting any rides (throwing my hat in Treetop's truck...) from the airport and back, if at all possible.

I'm in. I'll be flying directly in, not driving. This is somehow the cheapest option for me. I'll get exact dates and times of flight later.
I've heard Logan is the closest airport. How far away is it? Are we talking light rail/cheap taxi, or am I going to be wanting a ride to pick me up?

Hartford/Springfield (Bradley) is closer, but not by much. I don't think you can get a train here from anywhere. If you want to look into it, you would be traveling to Greenfield. Boston airport is about 2 hour drive. Hartford, I just drove it yesterday, took me 70 minutes (I was exceeding the speed limit).Veen wrote:I'm in. I'll be flying directly in, not driving. Re: Exciting Convention News!
My liquor license renewal was approved for 2014!
Publicize at will!
There are some ways to go:
Restaurant/Bar closed to the public: Good, because I can charge whatever I want for drinks, as long it at least covers wholesale price. Prices would be at least half off normal bar prices. Conventioneers might need pre-event credentials, in case I don't know you.
Open to the public for the entertainment portion? That is, for at least some of the time.
I don't really have a preference. Last MA-Con, one band was not happy with the sparse crowd. "Angry Johnny" was more pissed than usual.

Re: Exciting Convention News!
It's going to be moderately more expensive going in to Bradley, but there's no way a taxi is going to get me there from either place. I'm willing to chip in for a rental car and gas though if someone wants to coordinate landing times at Logan.slushfund wrote:Hartford/Springfield (Bradley) is closer, but not by much. Be aware of the toll roads. That's all I remember, 12 bucks every couple of miles but I may exaggerate.

"The object of life is not to be on the side of the majority, but to escape finding oneself in the ranks of the insane"-Marcus Aurelius
And afterwords we can run amok! Or if you're too tired, we can walk amok.

Greenfield, MA is about 10 miles away. I know there's talk of having train service to there, I'll look into it. There is bus service to Greenfield.TheBigCasino wrote:Where exactly is this, I gotta figure out flight and rental car stuff.

Okay, Nick Plumber is in. There will undoubtedly be more.
The eternal question. How many drunkards can we fit in one motel room?
