Nice idea though, but I don`t trust them on finding out the right balance of suger and salt.

Imagine them doing tabasco, burning jet-fighter fuel comes to mind.

You could always try mixing one of those new instant cup soup purees* (see below) with some decarbonised, sweetened Club Soda, for something similar, I guess...

Interesting idea.
I had a rep come into work this past week selling pickles. I really had no interest in his stuff, so I sidetracked his promo into a conversation about drinking. That's when he brought out one of their new products - bottled pickle brine. He was touting the benefits of drinking brine, he called it the poor mans Gatorade, with more electrolytes and such to hydrate your body. The sales promo states that it's great as a shot chaser or drink mixer, the troops in the middle east ate the pickles and drank the juice to stay hydrated in the desert, and says it wards off hangover effects.

I tried to appear interested so I could get some free samples. So now I have a case of giant individually wrapped pickles, in brine, to try out for this weekends foray into drunkeness.

With a 2 year shelf life, and the dude swore they would still be crispy and delicious, and no refrigeration needed, I thought these pickles would be an easy sell. Turns out there is a slim pickle eater market out there. Just another gamble in the cut throat world of candy and snack foods.
As for my own experience, I got a few pickles left, I eat one occasionally, they're alright. Have they cured my hangovers I don't think so. I don't know.

Mick Mars, guitar on Mötley Crüe, used Gatorade to give his vodkas some fancy colouring. The tiny taste a splash of it made in 'em was a mere byproduct.
