previous days/weeks/months? Same as it ever was.
BUT--this weekend was corned beef and cabbage breakfast with DH and friends Sunday am at our 2nd favourite local, then home to [same as it ever was], AND Corned beef and Cabbage Supper at our #1 favourite local in the pm...

score.
The cabin sits shut-down, cold-frozen and empty, dead mice in the traps, waiting for me to drink alone there in the dark.

I think post-snow melt and pre-black fly season would be a perfect time for a travel over the bridge. I'll PM dates for you and your Drunken Husband.

Cheers kiddo.

Had plans to be an irresponsible drunk this week but got a summons for jury duty last month that rescheduled it for me. So it's time to serve.

Cheers ya bassas.

Normally spend St. Patrick's with a group of veteran amateurs, but spent this year in work, then met my old man and my brothers for a curry and lots of booze. Qwality, so it was!

I've not a drop of Gaelic blood in me...

But I wore a Black Watch kilt yesterday, washed the night down with Tullamore Dew, and even practiced my bagpipes a bit.

I really enjoy being me. :-)

This St. Patrick's Day I discovered (to my dismay) that the Diageo Corp. has decreased Harp Lager's ABV to 4.5% and remodeled its label to resemble some sort of hideous mash-up of Bud Light and ZIMA. I know that Ireland's version of the logo has always been much plainer than the variety sold in the U.S., but something about this doesn't sit well with me. I assume that the beer has always sold well around this time of year, and it seems like bad business strategy to abandon the giant harp and celtic knot design. The worst part, of course, is that the beer itself is a watered down version of what it once was.

That is a damn shame, I liked Harp.

harp's not great.

Never really done st patrick's day. I don't believe in saints. I don't believe a man with a stick chased all the snakes away. I do worry that people get put off drinking by it. There's a lot of pretty uncool behaviour from the general public
