Drink vs Sleep

Post by oettinger »

Drink more and feel even better

Sleep more and feel even worse

Loose your mind while awake

Loose your mind while dreaming

Smoke a cig while drunk

Smoke the same cig while asleep

Drink at the wheel

Sleep at the wheel (sorry P. I had to)

Get married when drunk

Wake up drunk being married

Tell work to fuck off while drunk

Wake up thinking you better should have

I`ll drink with you

But I also want to sleep with you

Sleep is a waste of drinking time

Drink is a waste of getting really passed out time

You can always sleep when you are dead

I was not dead, just pretty loaded

The dead don`t ask for refill

No, but they usually stay put!

Sleep is highly overrated.

Frig sleep, frig death, and frig death to the sleep of enjoyment.

So many marvelous elixirs and tinctures await discovery.

Ah, but it is a balance. We are the voice of the full life, the life of enjoyment and simplicity.

But catching a flight or doing an investment presentation with a throbbing hangover is hell. Not bad, just profoundly uncomfortable.

I think tomorrow, on my bus, I will be that proudly uncomfortable.

But tonight? Drink!

Uncomfortable is a good word describing the whole dilemma. Sometimes rest-acohol in your bloodstream is your best friend. I go to work with him every monday, he picks me up at my door, we chat some and have fun all morning. When he finally leaves half the day is already over.
That`s why tuesdays are almost more brutal, nobody is picking me up on these.
Drink!
