It was vodka. This one.
It was love at the first sight... Well, taste to be precise. And the effects - it got me warm, fuzzy and really happy. Extremely relaxed too. I had like half a bottle. Had no hangover or any unpleasant side effects.

Re: Do You Remember Your First Drink?
You have to be a little more precise in your question:
First sip from the parent`s drink
First full glas of drink
First self bought drink
Btw. the search function is your best friend

I stole an ice cold Labatt's Blue from my father's beer fridge in the basement and chugged it while I kept an eye on the fucker through the basement window while he was working in the backyard. Didn't love it, but I did love #2 to #89,856! (I did the math)
I'm not as think as you drunk I am.

Re: Do You Remember Your First Drink?
My first taste was when I was about 3-years-old. I bugged my grandfather for some of his beer. So he poured a little into the cap of his bottle and let me try it. I hated it and had to put an ice cube in my mouth to get rid of the taste. Interesting side note: that was also the day that I shot a gun for the first time. It was a pistol-probably a .22. I didn't even have the finger strength to pull the trigger, so my grandfather stood behind me and helped.
My first full beer was at a friends house when I was about 14. It was summer time and his parents were at work.
My first self-puechased drink was in Santa Cruz after obtaining a fake ID. It was a Bartles and Jaymes wine cooler.
My first drink in a bar was a greyhound.

Huh. My order is unconventional.
First drink was a shot of hazelnut tequila I snatched off the table when my parents were doing a tasting in Jalisco, where my grandparents lived. I was four. It was so sweet, I enjoyed it.
First full beer was with my grandfather while driving in his truck. It was Milwaukee's Best. He kept a thirty rack behind the seat. I was thirteen or fourteen. He insisted I don't tell my mother.
First drink purchased was at 20 at a beautiful chapel of a dive bar called the Glo Room in California. It was a pitcher of Bud Light. I miss that place.

Speaking of rum urine,
I was stealing sips from a tall yellow can that had diamonds on the side.
My dad said, "beer, willie" and I would be the bartender/fridge robber.
High five, good times
Good five year old, high times.

First drink all my own and not a sip?
It was probably some macro on tap at a family funeral or wedding.
I do remember I was 9 or 10 and my great Uncles and uncles let me sneak whatever I wanted to. this was 45 years ago. don't remember what it was specifically.

Isn`t it strange its mostly the uncles who do this. I`ll for sure take that role when my nephew is readyBlackneto wrote:First drink all my own and not a sip?

I think they (we) do it possibly to be the "cool" uncle, or we think it will calm the little shit down. Or maybe we think its funny to see their faces when they taste it.
