Hi-Lo on me then Bubblez, I'll order low end bourbon and high end beer. I figure you can toss the bourbon back and sip the beer to alleviate the liquid hell on your tongue.

Thank you mistah willies! Considering my favorite past-time, it's entirely possible I have created an account before and don't remember it. If that's what you're getting at..?

Upon further consideration I realize you may be referring to my lurking habit..In which case I'll leave my comment unaltered because I find tipsy misunderstandings amusing.
Yeah what you talking about Willies? :D

We were all lurkers at some point weren't we? It's super creepy yet fabulous. Welcome aboard. A dirty martini with blue cheese stuffed olives would be most appreciated new friend. Cheers!

And stay away from Bubblez' trailers!!

Ha! What I talking ' bout (<--- shared apostrophe for environmental conscientiousness) is when lurkers cross over into the light and become corporeal.

I started as a lurker back in the day because it's simply proper board ettiquette, yup. Get a feel for a place before you drive in as fresh meat for the lions.

It's a big step, and booze is the best social lubricant, indeed. Btw, Artful D, your new board nickname is Chick Norris.

Thanks Willies for da Chick Norris. I shall attempt to behave today and not throw anyone through newly constructed windows.

Although there's a church on the corner of Third and Delaware Avenue that has a brand new stained glass window...hmm...

Long time lurker, I figured I was past due to make an account. I'm no good at witticisms, so here is a straight up hello and toast. Mud in your eye!
Welcome to the boards. Since no one else has said it, I will. Post often. Post drunk. Post Drunk often.

I'll have a Johnnie Walker double black.

In the words of Marvin Gaye: what's going on?

I'm a 23-year-old retired alcoholic, ex-professional as I like to think, and a university student from Scandinavia. Love the magazine and its existential devil-may-care attitude and have been a fan for quite some time!

I have been a high performer all my life, always getting As, always hitting the gym, always doing the right thing, but before I discovered boozing I wasn't content. I couldn't accept my dark side nor the grand, wondrous, terrifying nature of life. As soon as my lips touched the sweet nectar of alcohol, immediately as I felt booze kiss the depths of my soul, I was finally at ease with the world and myself. Sure this lifestyle may kill you and you may lose friends and girlfriends but at the end of the day, drinking has been one of the best things I've come across.

I enjoy drinking casually nowadays, mostly whiskey and red wine and putting some nice music on (The three Bs always do it for me: Bach, Beatles & Bon Iver). Right now I'm listening to 'Pet Sounds' and drinking a sidecar-cocktail, cheers!
Just keep livin'

Cheers and greetings to you DharmaBum.

The importance isn't necessarily in how much one drinks, but in the enjoyment of the drink itself. That some of us drink enough to make our eyeballs float is merely coincidental.

Hello all. When I'm not drinking the booze, I'm distilling it for the community. Thanks for the enjoyable reads and a big cheers out to you.

Welcome Earl and DharmaBum, I'm looking forward to reading more of your stuff.

Since nobody else has mentioned this, there is a tradition around here: New guy buys the next round. I'll have a Captain and Coke.
Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Give a drunk man tortilla chips, Velveeta and a hair dryer and he has nachos.
