Hello!
I've been reading MDM for years. I first found it in the entryway to the Herkimer Pub in Minneapolis. Every time my wife and I had brunch at the Herk, I'd check for a new issue of MDM. At some point, MDM was no longer being distributed at any place I frequented in Minneapolis, so I sought it out online and subscribed myself to it. In an era of electronic this and electronic that, I look forward to each and every issue of MDM that manages to make its way into my mailbox.
I have no idea why I never thought to look for an online forum for MDM but I'm glad I finally did. It's good to be with kindred spirits...or kindred that drink spirits.

Welcome Scott..
I'm pretty new here myself, having just discovered MDM last year. Now I have a subscription and lots of back issues. Funny stuff right up my alley...

Welcome indeed to this lovely little port in the ocean of Drys out there.
We are each new here; borne of the bottle each time a new one is opened. What wonders await? Why, the promise of a good session ahead.
The sound of a cork pop from a bottle of bourbon or wine or perhaps it's champagne for a special occasion, a twist and crack lovely Miss Ethyl in any of her daggers and cloaks, and the friendly crack of a can of beer:
.. it's music to the soul.
Welcome aboard new crew mates. You've been shanghaied and we'e boarding our vessel to seek the Island.
DRINK!

Welcome aboard drunkards! Always great to meet fellow kindred spirits! Your contributions to the board are greatly appreciated. I really don't bite so ignore those other drunkards if they try to tell you otherwise. Cheers! :D

I'll have an Evan Williams White Label and a nice pounder of Hamm's.

I see that Oggar lives in Buffalo, MN, which is about 55 miles/88 km from where I live. Badfellow is about 15 minutes away. Our urban area has a population of 3+ million, so, while I may have met both of these stalwart drinkers while out drinking at a bar, I suspect it is unlikely.
