Re: New to The Board? Then introduce yourself here...
Welcome aboard indeed, B.
I'm a dipsomaniac as well. I suspect others here are as well, because I'm suspect by others in company, but never a police suspect.
If the B stands for Bern, are you a Bernard...
Or does it have something to do with burning, umm, leaves?
Re: New to The Board? Then introduce yourself here...
Cheers! for the welcome, gents. Mr Willies you correct, my given name is Bernard. I don't do things with leaves except make tea. Booze, on the other hand, "let's get ready to stumble!". Tonights' delights will involve J&B, G&T, spicy pirate & Coca cola, and a 12 pack of export.
Thanks again for saying hello,
Bernie

Possibly got interesting.
Two bottles (1 empty) of Bulleit have inexplicably arrived. This is not easily obtained in the UK, so fuck knows how that got here. I won't complain too loudly.
The gin bottle has disappeared.
The frog at the back of my mouth is long and dangly and it feels like I am going to swallow it. This suggests singing or snoring. Probably both.
If anyone is looking for Chilean miners, they are inside my head, with big drills. Doing pricework.
J&B has enough in the bottle for livener.
I seem to have played "trivial Persuits". This is odd, as I don't own any board games, let alone "Trivial Persuits".
The wife just called me a cunt, and to "fuck off and do one."
hey ho.

Introductions and I'm buying the next round!
I am going to reintroduce myself here, as I have been away for too long.
I'm Jim and I go back in time to the days of the war with that other board back in 2005.
I was lamenting the loss of my youthful cleverness from back in the day when the wild chat-boards roamed the interwebnet; you needed something more than just a copy-pasted image and a gif surrounded by emojis. You needed an opinion, and a bit of wit, and a thick skin.
A long-time online friend reminded me of this community, of the glorious bastards here, of the humor and the camaraderie, the wisdom and the brilliance. But, he said, you've not been on this boat in a long while, take some time to get your legs under you. And I did. As I looked around anonymously, I saw there's some new crew, but the direction is the same. A new officer or two keeping watch, but the spirit (and, indeed, the spirits) are the same.
I've prattled on long enough.
Cheers, big ears!

It`s always nice to have oldtimers come back. Almost better than newbies.

Welcome back AoM. I would like to say I have the wit of the Old Guard but that would be a lie. I am sometimes taken by muse and drink during these times I have flashes of semi brilliance. I try to keep the emojis to a minimum. Though i did start the drinking meme page. Well it is what it is. Drink up and enjoy.
Cheers!!
