I saw 16 Candles when it first came out. And honestly, I agree with Scream. I've never cared much for it either. I like Long Duck. But that's about it. Out of all of those John Hughes movies, it's my least favorite. JMO.

Other John Hughes movies that I don't care for are Pretty in Pink, Some Kind of Wonderful and Home Alone. The latter was fun the first time I saw it, but it didn't hold up well. John Candy is the real star (Polka Polka Polka).

Best John Hughes movie, IMO, is She's Having a Baby.

You, sir, must be high on crack cocaine to be forgetting such Hughes classics as Mallrats, Uncle Buck, Vacation and, of course, the timeless icon of teen rebellion Ferris Bueller's Day Off. To this I shall not abide ambivolency.

No offense, but you are an asshole. While all of those are good, Mallrats was the second installment of Kevin Smith's New Jersey Trilogy. (sandwiched between Clerks and Chasing Amy). Wth the exception of a "special thanks" for inspiration, Mr Hughes was not a part of it. At all.
