I am a fan of the vodka. I'm not an authority on the matter, but here's how I do it:
I typically keep the bottle in my freezer. My buddy brought me back a huge ass 1.75L bottle from Alberta. It's too big for my freezer so I store it on my balcony outside (3rd story so it's safe from thieves) and let winter keep it cold.
I usually pour some into one of my big ass MDM glasses and drink away. If you're feeling spiffy, it does go well with chow from that part of the world - perogies, sausages, pickled stuff, etc..
Vodka straight?

The bottle is still outside but looking rather sad. Might be 15% left in it. Might have to finish it off.
