Ponderations on whiskey.
The following was in a book I just started called Guide to Urban Moonshining; How to Make and Drink Whiskey by the guys that started Kings County Distillery in New York City. This is supposed to be the first legal distillery in NYC since Prohibition.

Yes! Drink it neat. I do that even with cheap whiskey. Those first few sips may be hard, but after that, it goes down good.

However, I of course disagree that whiskey should be shared with company. All booze is best consumed in solitude. Just the drinker and the booze.
