Just jumping back in before tonight's magnificence - what else can boozing be? - to confirm my new avatar is of course from my all-time fave MDM item: Martini Madness! Clash of the Tightest is without doubt one of the best-written series ever, but MM strikes me in the gizzard each time I go back to it. The superb description by the Great One of each photo, their obvious staging, the lack of good lighting, the fact that it's plainly shot in the morning not after work... And so on. Thanks be to Frank and whoever played John.

Aldi is a German supermarket chain who have succeeded in Britain by cutting prices while providing sufficient quality of goods to satisfy the (admittedly) easy to please British public.

Which a long way round of saying that I bought today their 8-year old Scotch, their litre-version Gin and their Tamova vodka which I could probably make in my bath. Also their Rheinbacher lager four-pack to help down the delicious beverages described above.

All to the good. I'll leave the gin alone tonight in favour of the 8-year whisky (which isn't bad), the vodka (which is like putting your hand in a flame) plus the lager.

Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Back to Green 19 IPA from Titletown Brewing and Tanqueray. This past weekend (Friday and Saturday), in addition to Three Martini Friday and some scotch while I was on the town, I went through a sixer of Short's Bew Huma Lupa Licious IPA and a bottle of Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey. Which is crazy delicious.

Aldi-bought Steinhauser (sorry can't do the umlaut over the a) German Lager 330ml bottle 4.7% not bad mixed (as always) with the good stuff! (Aldi Tamova Vodka - I own my shame).
