Week in a nutshell: drank, smoked and picked 40 quarts of wild blueberries up in the remote northern woods.

Almost quite literally ran into a black bear four feet away while walking around the corner of the lodge. So close I could smell him. We looked at each other for a few seconds then he lumbered off into the woods. Fuck.

Almost hit a wolf with my car.

Traded 10 quarts of blueberries for two gallons of primo maple syrup.

Partied with some skanky broad and her mother one evening around the fire. Drank all their Fireball then ghosted on them before they could ply their VD upon me.

I'm not even going to lie and say you didn't just pull off some drunken Ferris Bueller shit, because you did. Jesus about that black bear. Were you drunk at the time? I have a theory: Being drunk allows you to avoid the ravages of wild beasts because -- while sauced -- you are no different than them. They look at you, acknowledge and consider you, then move along, because we never hear about a bear eating another bear.
