^^ Brave bastard, eating Sonic and what not.
Made buttermilk biscuits and bacon this morning. Came out pretty awesome. Got a big pot of soup beans on the stove for later. Real fancy stuff over here.

Made a five bean salad should be pretty awesome. As awesome as a salad can be anyway.

^ ^ ^ Bean salad is always good. I like scooping it with tortilla chips and if I'm feeling really motivated, making it Mexican style by throwing in some corn, avocado, tomato and what not if I have that laying around. I think that would be considered healthy?
I had a black n' bleu salad. Leftover steak in salad greens with an Italian dressing, tomatoes, red onions, and Gorgonzola crumbles. Stupendous!

Here in the states, specifically California, we take fresh produce for granted. Hell, strawberries, avacados, melons, peppers... anything is dirt cheap and readily available. What's it like there? Can you get frrsh produce like we have here? How do the prices compare? Is there anthing you can't find that you really want?Artful Drunktective wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2019 10:35 am^ ^ ^ Bean salad is always good. If I had cut up the green and yellow beans smaller it could probably serve as a dip. I usually have it on top of spinach. It's definetly healthier than the rest of supper which will most likely be cooked in bacon grease.Artful Drunktective wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2019 10:35 am^ ^ ^ Bean salad is always good. Here in upstate NY it's like berry season is over and done in no time.Dear Booze wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2019 11:03 amHere in the states, specifically California, we take fresh produce for granted. Compared to where I came from...everything here is dirt ass cheap. Many fruits and veggies we get from the garden which is awesome. We had green beans, zucchini, onions, different sorts of leafy greens, not to mention apples, plums, and assorted berries.Dear Booze wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2019 11:03 amCan you get frrsh produce like we have here? There are about 1 trillion things I can't find that I really want in general. But as far as produce goes...can't find any hot peppers of any kind really, so I grow my own.
And of course I miss all the tropical fruits I once had access to. Papaya for one.

Way back many hours ago I made biscuits and gravy. It was a good start to the day.

Tonight I`ll bake whole potatos in foil. Those fuckers are huge! They`ll probably take a while to get ready. It`s all experimental

Yum that looks good. I miss white gravy. And biscuits. And 'Murrican breakfast sausage. *nostalgic sigh*scream ale wrote: ↑Sat Oct 05, 2019 9:56 pmWay back many hours ago I made biscuits and gravy. It was a good start to the day.
There was this dive in the middle of nowhere on a country road truck stop that served biscuits and gravy that took up an entire serving plate and it was like, 3 or 4 bucks. My girlfriends and I would go there after drinking on holiday nights since it was not only affordable, but the only thing open (next to Chinese food which was also good). The place has since been razed for new development so without memories, no one would even know it had been there.

^^^ Diner food will always be the best. Cheap, greasy and filling.
It's hard to come by the stuff to make a batch of biscuits and gravy there?
