Got a pot of potato soup on the stove and some crusty bread about to get warmed up in the oven.

That sounds magnificent. We also have potato soup on the line up with garlic, bacon, and leeks from the garden. I had this cook book from a restaurant in San Fran called "The Stinking Rose" and their entire menu revolves around garlic. Never been there though. Any dang way they have a roasted potato garlic leek soup on the menu and the recipe figuratively called for about a zillion roasted cloves of garlic. Needless to say I tried the recipe and it was nothing short of amazeballs. More of a creamy chowder, really. I can't find that specific recipe online or I'd post it but I will try to recreate it again from something similar. 'Tis the season for all soups, chowders, and belly warming grinds. Make a good old recipe of your grandma's. But put a lot of jalapenos or cayenne or some kind of hot stuff in it. Then you will feel better. We have been eating for three days chicken soup with vegetables and a **** load of spicy stuff. Makes for many Grumpy farts, but we feel good. Share your recipes here if you can. If you are stuck on the floor and cannot write us, come back later. I had to type this for a long time. Grumpy fell asleep. I put him to bed. Or else he would help you.

Right now, I'm dredging through this Czech real estate to find where my boss should invest, with a mean hangover, so it's kebab time. Yeah, kebab it is. And a pint of Kwak.

I would tear up a Döner kebab right now. Got the drunk munchies leftover from last night that carried over to today. I could really use some grease absorption.

You should have gone to Del Taco instead. Then gone home or to the bar to pound a coupla dozen beers. Well, maybe you should have pounded at home. Was there a Twilight Zone marathon on the tv? It was great in the old days when you could drag the little sucker right into the bathroom. For while you take a bath, I mean.ThirstyDrunk wrote: ↑Sun Oct 26, 2014 1:31 amI ate 3 prunes today, on advice of a drunkard. Or not really advice I guess, more like a dare. No not even that, not a dare, it was just that somebody mentioned prunes and I said I would eat a fuckin prune so I did. It was Screwball.
but really it was one of those do what you said drunk you would do things, so i ate a prune. This lady at the store told me I should't eat them all at one time so I only ate 3.

I'm not a fast food fan but I couldn't resist passing by the local Subway where they are featuring brisket sandwiches. The sign said they are smoked for 13hrs! So, I dropped in and bought a half sub of smoked brisket. It was delicious and tender but not in the category of a real smoker restaurant. The price reflected the work that goes into smoking brisket. The half sandwich was $7.50 out the door. I was satisfied being a brisket fan.
Found myself in the Matrix and took the red pill. Now I want the blue pill and my bottle and leave me alone.

Reheating chicken tacos and rice with pinto beans. Slathered in cheese and hot sauce as usual.

Don't worry. We're in no hurry.
