Cheap vodka is giving me 3rd degree burns on the liver right now.

Picked up a bottle of Clynelish 14. My frivolous spending on whiskey has been most enjoyable.
Anyways, this is an intense whiskey. Reminds me of WT101, being 92 proof and embodying significant spiciness and oakiness.

Don't worry. We're in no hurry.

Quite affordable too!ThirstyBirdy wrote: ↑Sun Nov 10, 2019 4:34 am90 proof. 0ver 200 years in business, this is a good bourbon.
No fancy glassware, straight from the bottle. Sweet spicy peppery caramel baby!
You've got to try a bottle, I'm sort of in love. I should buy a case...
Found myself in the Matrix and took the red pill. Now I want the blue pill and my bottle and leave me alone.

Nice. I haven't been disappointed by Southern Tier yet. They've delivered some pretty fine 22oz. bombers to the drinking folk over the years.scream ale wrote: ↑Sun Nov 17, 2019 6:02 pmOld Man Winter ale. Made by Southern Tier. Nothing fancy, just something I look forward to every winter along with good strong porters and stouts. Granted it's not winter yet but looking out the window...

I thought you were based out west. I didn't realise Southern Tier made it that far out of NY. Pretty cool.Badfellow wrote: ↑Mon Nov 18, 2019 12:51 amNice. I'm based out of MN. They've been distributing here and in WI since about 2012 or so. They're probably the best known NY brewery next to Ommegang and Brooklyn.scream ale wrote: ↑Mon Nov 18, 2019 12:47 pmI thought you were based out west. Re: What are you drinking right now?
I figured Brooklyn and Ommegang were distributed pretty far from New York, never would've guessed Southern Tier was. Learn something new everyday. I'll drink to that.Badfellow wrote: ↑Mon Nov 18, 2019 1:27 pmI'm based out of MN. They've been distributing here and in WI since about 2012 or so. Monday Midnight Martini!
Well, it's just a regular Martini, but I made it at midnight.

The second best thing about a shot of Malört is the face the bartender makes when you order it.
