Tonight: a Manhattan (50/50 Templeton Rye 4 Yr and Bulleit Bourbon, Punt e Mes, Peychauds, Luxardo cherries) followed up by a dry dirty Martini (Gordons, Dolin dry vermouth) and maybeeee something else before bed. I've got to get up early to meet my parents for breakfast / calling granpere for his birthday.

Okay, so I kept my receipt so I would know exactly when I bought it, and when it ran out. A box of wine is 5 liters. It comes out to the equivalent of 6.7 750 mL bottles of wine. I bought the box Wednesday, December 11 at 1:12 PM. It went empty last night. One box only lasted 3 nights. If I had been buying wine by the bottle, I would have went through almost 7 bottles in three nights.

I take the bag out of the box when the wine no longer flows from the spout. I cut the corner of the bag and pour the last few drops into my glass. Not even my penny-pinching neighbor had thought of that.

This is no joke. I just had a colonoscopy and the doc went thru the photos of my colon. It was all colored dark brown. He called this melanosis and it's nothing to be concerned about. It's from all the herbal supplements I consume every day so I don't die from drinking so much. It's all good!

I've got some 101 in the cabinet myself so may join you.. we pay a pretty penny for it here in England when you can find it.. usually don't bother as it's scarcity means you can get stuff just as good for less but I won said bottle in a meat raffle at my local pub. as to where I've been I lost my password and this has been the first time I've both thought about logging on and undrunk enough to recover it at the same time. hope you and everyone else here has been well
