More of the Lagavulin Nick Offerman 11 year that I managed to score the last bottle of at my local. I was exceptionally lucky to be there when they decided the guy they were holding the last bottle for took too long, and they were about to put it back on the shelf when I was perusing the sing malts. He put it on the shelf and I took it while he was putting the tape on the price sign.

I was probably drunk when I said that, but I meant it.

The second best thing about a shot of Malört is the face the bartender makes when you order it.

A wheat DIPA. Not my favorite from Treehouse. Still really nice. Soft and citrusy.

Honey from Treehouse. Tropical fruity all up in here. Not as Hopslammy as I thought it'd be. Would bang again.

Picked up a bottle of Four Roses -- going to do a little bourbon experimentation and I've never had this one before.

Enjoying it while reading these tasting notes.

I can pick the aspects out after reading them, but really suck at coming up with them by myself.

My terrible sense of smell definitely doesn't help.

Sorry if I'm posting this twice.
I think it's called a Sparkler? Svedka, Korbel brut sparkling wine, and Carpano Antica red vermouth. Could do with a lemon strip, but I'm not going to trust myself with knifework right now.

Meeh, your sense of smell and taste are probably fine. I almost stopped drinking one of my favorite whiskeys because some lady in the checkout line tried to "school" me on tasting notes. Thank god I shrugged off her annoyance and kept on trucking. In the end, it's all nonsense.

A 'Tasting Note' is a concept created by some pretentious creative who wanted to find greater purpose in drinking, other than to just simply drink. I've heard tasting notes of "leather" and "moss," when has leather and moss ever tasted GOOD? Unless you were a member of the Donner family, I doubt either of those were ever considered delicious.

Sipping a baltic porter from Harpoon. Weighing in at 9.5%, this has been aged in Whistle Pig rye barrels and is quite the tasty treat. A little on the sweet side, reminds me of a milk stout in a way. Happy I tried it.

Elijah Craig small batch at 94 proof. On sale for $24.99

It's not a chugger. It opens up with a little bit of water. Gargling that with water really involves the sinuses in a good way.
I got my EW bourbon as a chaser, ya know, for the health benefits.

What happened to the Kraken? Did you drink it all, matey? You're a drunken pirate and will always be one!
