Damb. My back hurt just reading that.
Re: Your day in a nutshell. Share please.
The third protest of the week is going on in my neighborhood right now. People are honking their horns and shouting support to one another. Earlier in the week a rally was held, and right after it broke up, someone lit a Dumpster on fire. The fire department quickly arrived and put it out. The Dumpster belonged to my favorite dive bar. It's a family owned bar that's been there since the 1930's. It shook me up to think it could have been destroyed.
The pharmacies are closing early every day and barricading their doors. The Wallgreens behind my apartment looks like it had a window broken out not long ago. Pressboard is where the glass used to be. The 24-hour gas station/food mart across the street keeps the door locked and only lets in one or two people at a time. The 7/11, though, is staying open. The clerk doesn't seem to be the least bit frightened by any of it.
I'm so sick of all this. The plague, the protests, the rioting. I know it's selfish of me. I know how important it is to the people out there to stop the spread of disease, to voice their anger. But I just want it all to be over.
BTW, I was carrying my mask in my hand as I walked to the grocery store this morning. Some 150-year-old hag out walking her dog said, "PUT IT ON!" as I walked by.

I go the other way. Is there a problem with that?
Found myself in the Matrix and took the red pill. Now I want the blue pill and my bottle and leave me alone.

If Nurse Lupe were here, she'd confirm that front to back is where it's at. But a back to front reverse maneuver, also called the Rockford wipe, never hurts just to be sure you're in the clear.Artful Drunktective wrote: ↑Sun Jun 07, 2020 10:32 amNow ya know why you need Nurse Lupe! Ho hum. Twelve cop cars, crime scene tape, ambulances and fire trucks out front. A guy whose face is covered in blood being carted away. Just another day on my street.

Fixing up the new library that Grumpy finally finished the bookshelves for. All it needs now is an overhead light fixture.

Got a taste of summer today and I did not like it one bit. And now the moment I've been waiting all day for - cold beer.
