I was on with Oettinger and my phone officially died. It's like this archaic relic of the post-smart phone era that I refuse to update because 1.) shit's expensive; and 2) IDON'TWANNA.

I am a technophobe. I hate all this shit. Iphones and clouds and 5G towers and all that bullshit; I don't get it and I don't want to get it. I wish pagers and answering machines were still things. Fuck the matrix, fuck the cloud, fuck the digital revolution and all that nonsense, let's go back to envelopes and stamps.

Whatever the case, the Verizon store said I'm going to have to get a new phone or my current one is just going to stop working soon. Well, I think that time has come. So for now, I'm unable to Skype.

At least I know that the last face I'll ever see by phone was the cherubic face of my Germanic manic compatriot.
