I've been making a lot of bread at the moment. So much so you can all now call me the "master baker", don't say it too much too quickly!
Major Strasser: What is your nationality?
Rick: I'm a drunkard.
Captain Renault: That makes Rick a citizen of the world.

I will be eating for brunch tomorrow morning a half pound of Wagyu ground beef patty broiled topped with cheese and sauteed mushrooms and caramelized onions. Alongside will be a large green salad with artichoke hearts, cherry tomatoes and avocados of course with a dressing of aged balsamic vinegar and unrefined olive oil. While the burger is broiling I will probably drink this 12oz. bottle of Firestone Brewing Parabola barleywine at 12.7% alc.! What a life!
Crazy what they serve in the retirement homes nowadays
You wish you were here! LOL!

Took advantage of a coupon deal at my local high end gourmet market. It was buy one Atlantic lobster tail get another one for free. So it was $15 in savings but still very expensive. I broiled it after snipping the shell and opening it up and bathing it in melted garlic butter and lemon juice. It weighed in at around 5oz wet. It was delicious but it was all gone in 4 bites. The other one is on ice and I'll have it soon with a small USDA prime beef steak as a 'surf and turf' experience.

Made a batch of ham and navy bean soup. Used homemade veggie stock. Came out pretty good after my earlier kitchen fuck up.

Undercooked some home fries and burned the shit out of some eggs. At least the eggs weren't undercooked.

The kitchen can be a very dangerous place.

i've been baking a lot of bread recently. I've recently decided to make my own alioli.

Morter and pestle
4 cloves of garlic.
tea spoon of salt.
Crush to a paste
add one 1 egg yolk
mix rapidly
slowly drip olive oil whilst mixing.

Now I smell like a rotting Frenchman!

I tried that stuff and could not digest it. Found out I can't digest whole eggs. Egg whites, no problem. But proteins and egg yolk sugars just don't combine in my stomach. I like pesto sauce.

So after much reluctance, I finally agreed to try the German cuisine of mett (raw pork). And this is a big deal for me because I'm kind of weird about pork (unless it's bacon). Some jokes are that it's "German sushi" and "construction worker's marmalade". As hesitant as I was...it was surprisingly good on a nice crusty bread with raw onions. I could do this again for sure.

I always have drunkarreah so it's hard to be certain...

No but for real, it actually did agree with me. I was more afraid of the great vomit-a-thon more than anything but nope!
