You should definitely try truite au bleu sometime. It’s not as FANTASTIC as war or listening to Slayer in your grimy underwear, but still pretty FANTASTIC.

It's that Oktoberfest time of year again, drunkards! This German Cucumber Salad "takes only 15 minutes to make, but you’ll need to let it chill for at least 4 hours before serving it". Look up a recipe if yer interested. It's delicious, especially if you like dill. And it's also a nice cold side dish accompaniment to change things up.

Re: Oktoberfestive treats
"After a long night of Oktoberfest beer drinking, you’ll need something greasy, hearty, and comforting to help take care of the hangover." Bavarian Apple-Sausage Hash is the solution.
Ingredients
1 Apple, large tart
1 1/2 cups Brussels sprouts
1/2 cup Onion
1 tbsp Mustard, whole grain
1 tbsp Brown sugar
1 tsp Caraway seeds
1/8 tsp Pepper
1/4 tsp Salt
2 tbsp Canola oil
1 tbsp Cider vinegar
2 tbsp Walnuts
4 Fully cooked apple chicken sausages or flavor of your choice, sliced.
Throw it in a skillet. Voilà!

That first one looks like a pair of bananas, a pretzel and a glob of mustard with a glass of beer. Fucking weirdos.

Where’s the traditional Bavarian bacon cheeseburger?

I don’t intend to offend.
But, except for those WWI and WWII things, Germans are full of schissenstrudel. The beer selections are great. But the rest of that pig fat and whoreshank can stay in Krauterland. No wonder Hitler was a vegetarian.
