You expected less? We ARE talkin' booze here, and booze is serious bidness; quick responses to booze-related questions are always in style.

But I still don't get the deal with 'quart'. What's up with that?

Its more proof that America won't make up its mind on the metric system. All booze is measured in milliliters, from the tiniest airliner to handles and beyond (nebuchadnezzar of bubbly, anyone?), but some manufacturers put the alternate liquid measure on the bottles, too (i.e. quart).

750 Milliliters = .19813 Gallons.

A quart is any of several elementary particles that are postulated to come in pairs (as in the up and down varieties) of similar mass with one member having a charge of + 2/3 and the other a charge of - 1/3 and are held to make up hadrons.

A quart is one quarter of a gallon, slightly under a litre it weighs in at 32oz instead of the 33.8oz in a litre.

Thank you Oggar. My question was rhetorical and I hope your answer was too.

I love the English system of measure and you do too! Nobody buys land in anything but acres, so there. Landowners rule anyway, therefore the American system is English. That whole concept is English anyway so it all begins to make sense, doesn't it?

Don't like the land arguement, how about guns? Same thing. Caliber is measured in inches, weight in grains, etc.

Even though my John Deere tractor has metric fitting and my Kawasiki 4-wheeler has at least some English fitting, American stands uncommitted to the metric system and that's the way we like it!

I'm going to open a 12 oz. beer now.
