Don't go making it sound like all bartenders assume women want to drink shitty booze. That guy was a tool, most likely because he works in that kind of bar. I don't get the concept of a Martini bar with a menu. It should have 5 words: "With olive or lemon twist?"
The only time I change a patron's order is if they're a dick ("Middleton and sour please...") or they order TJD. I've gotten my fair share of shit from girls I give Jameson to, but if they don't like it, thats their failing not mine.
I especially like the girl in Boston I bought a Jameson for who immediately grabbed my chaser after she drank it. She then made arm flailing gestures and blurted out "Who the fuck chases Whiskey with Vodka?!?" This guy.

I've been doing it for years, just never as a regular gig. Now that I work days its easier to swing it on the weekends, but no more weekday bartending for me. 5AM is about the time I used to roll into the house, not out for work!

I have spoken of the abomination of the flavored Phillips Whiskeys in the past. At first no one believed me, I'm starting to feel like the boy who cried wolf except I never lied.

I also agree that it's not that rare. You'll find bad female drunks less often than bad male drunks, in my experience, but when the chick is a bad drunk, it gets extraordinarily horrific.liz... wrote:Sixpack595 wrote:Not that rare...everyone of the ladies I know love to get their drunk on...shylock wrote:Rare breed these drinking ladies are.
