Brown-Forman Product List

Post by ivan »

There are a lot of new members popping up around here, and many of you may not be aware of the boycott of Brown-Forman.

This is the soulless corporation that watered down the liquor known 'round these parts as TJD ("T" for "traitor") from a "pure gasoline" 90-proof to a focus-group pleasing 80, and still have the gall to advertise that they're following the time-honored recipe of Mr. Daniels.

This is, obviously, some B.S. and deserving of a boycott. While we may never know just what percentage, by volume, of the world's drinkers are represented here, it's obviously significant. Hell, Oggar alone can affect trading in corn futures. So, we as a community are speaking with our wallets.

The taste of Jack alone is enough to make me boycott it, this is a noble cause however.

It looks like I will have to give up my secret love affair with southern comfort (don't judge me).

I'd meant to do that. I blame the booze.

You can't see me Ivan, but I'm giving you the Fonzie thumbs up. Looking at that list the only one that hurts me is Old Forester. That used to be my go to Bourbon (Especially the 100 proof BNB version) before I joined MD and got the skinny on TJD. Cheers.

You see in this world there are two kinds of people, my friend. Those with loaded guns, and those who dig. You dig.

I used to drink jack and coke until I posted as such on here and got the thumbs down. I then did some research and discovered there are nicer and better bourbons available. I bought myself a bottle of Makers Mark for Christmas...

Nothing really hard to stay away from on that list, though I have strayed from time to and drank Woodford Reserve, along with the odd bottle of Korbel from time to time.

Woodford is one of the only things on that list that I can recall having. I liked it, but not enough to go against the boycott (unless it's a free bottle as a Christmas gift).
