OK, so I was just at my local candystore, and they have a sale every Thursday. No Bourbon this week, but they had Don Julio Silver for half price. The wife loves her some tequila, so I picked up a bottle. Grabbed a handle of Evan, a couple bottles of bubbly, and checked out. As I was putting my haul in the Honda, I started going over the bill in my mind, because something didn't make sense. I grabbed the receipt, and, sure enough, a bottle of tequila that normally runs $50 had cost me $10.37.

So, I walked back inside with tequila and receipt in hand and told the sweet lady at the cash register "You didn't charge me enough for this".

Part of me knows I did the right thing, part of me thinks it would have been sweet to have the $10 booze, and part of me wishes I didn't compulsively crunch numbers.

No, she rang it up proper on the register. Her mistake may have been noticed if there was an in-depth audit of the registers vs. the stock, and even then, it woudn't be likely.

I once was mistakenly not charged at ALL for £50 worth of drinks in a bar...i yelled (quietly) twice at the barmaid and she didnt respond so hey...not my fault.

I was also once given £20 note change when i paid £10 for the drinks....again not my fault.

At a restaurant in Toronto years ago. We asked our server for the check. She never brought it. In fact, we never saw her again. We then asked two other servers to please bring us our check. Waited another half hour, no check. got up and left. probably about a $100 tab. meh
