Most expensive Booze you have ever tasted

Post by Agaveman »

Hey folks, what is the most expensive Booze you have ever tasted? Not saying bought or got drunk off of nessecarily, but at least had the opportunity to taste?

Best I’ve ever gotten is Jonny Walker Blue, tasted like angles kisses.

I think the most expensive I ever had was Moet et Chandon, I can't recall the vintage, but it was more than a c-note a bottle. I don't remember it being especially remarkable.....

I'm not entirely sure if this is the most expensive I've ever drank, but where I played on Friday (Corner's Pub -- Kokkola, Finland), they had 25yo Lagavulin at the bar. One shot will set you back 49euros (@ $62 USD). Liquor IS expensive in Finland, but $62 for ONE shot??!?

The bar manager (Sammi) graciously gave me a shot on the house; if only to keep me from drooling on the bar. He told me that shot would seriously cut into his freebie-tab for the next few days.

The taste was ambrosial.

this. it was good, smooth, but not anywhere near worth the price (free for me, though). JW blue label is much more of a reasonable (though still prohibitively expensive) price, imo.

I had some vintage Bordeaux when I worked at a fancy wine store on Cape Cod. It sold for $400 a bottle. I believe it was Chateu Lafite, can't remember the year. It was delicious, but I've had better wine for far less money.

I didn't buy the absinthe, but i know it was expensive but i don't know by how much. Most expensive lately has been that pappy van winkle. Don't know if it was worth the 75 bucks a bottle, but good all the same.

$75 a bottle Absinthe, $100 a bottle Perrier Jouet Champagne, Corozon Tequila Silver, JW Blue, and a rare Beer of some kind that went for $50 a 12 ounce bottle.
Drink your fucking drink, how about that? Stop the fuckin' presses, isn't it genius??

Good question, I think it has to be a dram of Port Ellen?

Edit: Don't know how much that would be since I didn't pay for it myself (does that even count?) But a 1978 bottle costs about 308 euros.

I'm a cheap bastard, so here goes nothing.

Glenfiddich 18 yr. It was good, but I bought it once and wouldn't necessarily do it again

Lagavulin 16 yr comes second, I had a friend offer me a glass, and that stuff rocks. Next time I got a bit of money, I'm getting it.

It's either Bookers or absinthe. I'm too lazy to to the euro conversion to figure out how much I paid for the absinthe.
