black and tan, where i come from, is bass and guinness. and is yummy. it's like chocolate and peanut butter. two great things that taste great together.

half and half, harp and guiness.

black velvet, cider and guiness. the ladies are fond of this one, especially if you're trying to expand their beer knowledge.

i've also heard of a black and blue, which is--and i'm not making this up--pbr and guinness.

Trader Joe's Vintage Dark Ale (Unibroue dark) and Blackthorn cider. Tart and a tad bitter, but with a good creaminess at a 2/3 to 1/3 ratio.

Black and tan is any old style bitter....manns, bass, pedi etc wit stout....not nec guiness but thats the common one.

Cant imagine being popular in the usa cos you don't have proper bitter.
