black and tan, where i come from, is bass and guinness. and is yummy. it's like chocolate and peanut butter. two great things that taste great together.

black velvet, cider and guiness. the ladies are fond of this one, especially if you're trying to expand their beer knowledge.
i've also heard of a black and blue, which is--and i'm not making this up--pbr and guinness.

Trader Joe's Vintage Dark Ale (Unibroue dark) and Blackthorn cider. Tart and a tad bitter, but with a good creaminess at a 2/3 to 1/3 ratio.
