Re: gin-haters
Gin is not an acquired taste. You're either born with the gin gene or you're not. Now, that being said, anyone who can't enjoy a well made martini simply isn't trying hard enough.

Re: gin-haters
I grew up in a house that knew no vodka but gin very well. I would beg the gin soaked limes from my parent's g and t's and suck on that lovely summer treat with fervor. To this day I prefer gin over vodka and have recently run into many people saying ick to it; associating it with old men, degenerates, violent drunken rage and disparaging its aesthetic. Good gin is a great thing but the quality of the tonic when mixing is also important. of course great gin is great alone and cold.

If I stop drinking all at once, I'm afraid the cumulative hangover will kill me.

It's a taste I acquired. I used to HATE the stuff, now I have a burning yen for GIN -- it could almost be a religion if I wasn't already a committed and devoted Absinthe fiend.Gin is not an acquired taste. You're either born with the gin gene or you're not
I guess my Gin Gene done woke up.
It's always a good day to get ripped!

I'm drunk on gin now. That counts for something.

Ok so which one you guys think is better if it's Gordon's vs Beefeater?

I also aquired my gin taste. Sometimes you just have to grow into things. Not until i had my frist martini did i like gin.Zippy wrote:It's a taste I acquired. Re: gin-haters
You are simply wrong. Beefeater is good gin.
The last thing that anyone should ever do is feel ashamed of blacking out. You were trying to get drunk last night and, goddamnit, mission accomplished.

Re: gin-haters
How can Gordon's and Beefeater be put in the same category? One is bottomshelf, the other is upper shelf.
