Here's one more for Mr. King.
Took a nice nap with the B.B. King Sirius channel as my background today.
Funny thing. I woke up the morning after he passed with one of his songs in my head. Went about my morning (quite happy to have that ear weeg) for close to 45 minutes before I heard news of his death.
Going to happy hour and not drinking is like going to an orgy and masturbating. You just took a great idea and turned it into a circle jerk. -Sixpack595

Please call me when waking up with some oettinger quotes crossing your mind.
Posting this two nights late, but I'm raising a glass of beer in remembrance.
Missus Bluto's grandparents have sold the homestead and are moving off the farm. We went back over the weekend for one last visit and round of drinks in the garage as well as around a camp fire in the driveway.
Lots of memories there for me and even more so for the extended family.
That being said, we look forward to drinks in the new home. We were going to drink half a bottle Sunday and the other half in the new home but we seem to have done too much damage to the bottle. Looking forward drinks with the family on new gound.
Cheers,
Bluto

Nothing like celebrating in a brand new home and having to re-do the wall-painting the next day.
When I entered this place 10 years ago we trashed it the first couple of weekends very badly, it stayed the same since then
Drinking to the best day of prairie dog hunting I've ever had.
Great day out on the Prairie with my dad and brother in law. Finished with a good steak and a few drinks.
My kind of day.

Toasting to Sunday. Them birds are chirping and the door are barking, and I made it back home.

Last night I sat on the shores of Monterey Bay and toasted Ed Ricketts, the model for Doc Ricketts in Steinbeck's Cannery Row. I visited his lab yesterday, saw where he was he by the train while he was in his car, and visited his grave. The man was a ecologist, philosopher, and a drinker. He is on my list of historical people to sit down and drink with.
Three cups open the grand door to bliss;
Take a jugful, the universe is yours.
Such is the rapture of the wine,
That the undrunk shall never inherit.
