Oban's good stuff, for sure, as is the Balvenie. Personally I favor Lagavulin or Talisker, but it's really a matter of personal taste. To quote Robert Louis Stevenson: "The king o' drinks, as I conceive it, Talisker, Islay or Glenlivet..."

I should add that I suspect that the latter story was embellished for my (oblivious) benefit - no one ever reacted with the rage or resentment that it should have entailed were it strictly true. Still, it makes a good story, in the appropriate venue...
