Fuckin InBev

http://www.esquire.com/blogs/food-for-m ... s-15363573

Take in the sides of the can, now it looks like a "bowtie" Budweiser logo! Yeah, and now there's almost a full ounce less beer in the can too! Did you lower the price to reflect the lower volume? DID YOU?

Fuckin InBev.

Re: Getting carded...

Do you remember the place, Palinka? Lived in DC for about four years in my mid-20s and that's the town where I really grew into my Drunkard-hood. Boozed all over the place, so I might know it.

Re: "Drinking the Bottom Shelf"

A lot of that stuff I wouldn't call "bottom shelf." Beam Rye? Beck's Sapphire? Pretty solidly mid-range, I'd say. I did have a rough night on Canadian Mist back in college, so I fear that one will be forever off-limits to me, no matter the price. And any bottom-shelf conversation that doesn't begin ...

Re: Getting carded...

I lost my wallet and had to carry my passport to bars until they sent me a dupe. Annoying. I'm 30, look 22, and still usually only get carded at chain restaurants and theme parks. The weird thing I've experienced is that I'll get carded for my first beer at a theme park, but won't get carded for my ...

Re: Places to Avoid

I tend to avoid places I know I won't like, such as the super-expensive "club" places where 19-year-olds go to take fruity vodka shots and give each other STDs. There's a place here in Tampa, specifically the Ybor City bar district, which opened about a year ago. It's called The Bad Monkey. There's ...

Re: The Dive Bar Debate

- Cash only - Smelly, usually smoke and piss but could just be a general mustiness - Maybe a dive could get away with having a bartender's helper "gun," but in most dives the mixers will be from cartons, jugs, or two-liter bottles. Bonus points if they are the off-brand, private store labels - Open ...

Re: TJD "Sinatra Select"

I'm reminded of the line from the original Dawn of the Dead, when Peter is admiring a rifle and says "Only guy who could miss with this gun is the sucker with enough bread to buy it." Similarly, this will only be purchased by bottle-service douchebags who could care less what a fine whiskey actually...

Re: hey guys..:)

Purposeful obfuscation, as far I can tell.

"How much do you weigh?"

"17 stone."

"Is that fat?"

"What do you think?"

"My head hurts."

Yeah, just a weekend thing with a bunch of other engaged couples. Communication strategies, conflict resolution, etc. Nothing earth-shattering. Met some new drinking buddies, though.

Re: Personality Test

I did the Myers-Briggs as part of pre-marital counseling and then again in business school. I'm ENTP. For me I'd say it's broadly accurate, though of course we all contain multitudes.

Google seems to think that it'll go for $150 a fifth.

In short, they can fuck right off.
