Of course not. Hence the need to be able to identify it if you are planning to flirt, rather than pay, your way through one.

Re: how to start this bender?

Okay. I'm gonna need to know just where your life sherpa has misled you that you know what Fluffy Ducks, Cock Sucking Cowboys and Fruit Tingles are. And don't tell me Disney World - I was just there two years ago and none of that girly hooch was there. It's a cultural thing. If you are a poor stude...

Re: how to start this bender?

You need to subvert that shit. Consider the situation. If someone literally had your nuts in a vice, would you free yourself and then crawl back to the comfort of your lounge room? Fuck no! You'd get the vice and pound the back of their head until their brain oozed out of their nostrils. So when som...

Re: The say what's on your mind thread ....

There are currently two things on my mind; 1) The problem with owning scotch is that you quickly revert to owning an empty bottle and not owning scotch. It's 2:40pm and I'm almost in the latter situation. The nearest bottle shop is a 30min walk away. Do I walk up there and get more, or steal/borrow ...

Re: Rediscovering scotch whisky

I've sampled the J&B, Cutty Sark, and Johnny Walker Red on Saturday, trying to find a good beginner's blended scotch; one that's mixable, but can stand on its own. Currently, it's a tie between Cutty and Johnny Red. Any other suggestions? I'll sample the two 12 year olds (Johnny Black and Chivas Re...

Re: The art of the art of drinking alone

I almost prefer to drink alone. The drunk is an interesting creature. He or she is a person who has carefully and calmly examined the world around them, bringing a truly scientific eye to every aspect of their environment, and concluded, quite rightly I might add, that from the most beautiful sunset...

Tooheys Extra Dry - A review.

I've slowly been reviewing the various bargain beers Australia has to offer, and posting the results on my blog. I figured, seeing as you lot are a booze oriented tribe, I'd cross post some of them over here in the interest of education... Tooheys Extra Dry Review. I have returned to this bastion of...

Re: This ratio thing......

The old measures are not good to go with. In my opinion they use miles to much vermouth. The ice melting into the gin during the production process should provide enough extra liquid. You certainly don't need anything except fragrance from your vermouth. To avoid the ratios, just stick with this gui...
