Re: What are you drinking right now?

For a second I thought you were suicidal. I don't get it...? Lidl is the second coming of Devil upon us. Trust me, never drink anything that still moves. Lidl is the retarded sister of ALDI. Did I mention that I buy my wine at aldi? I am aware that Lidl is ALDI's poorer cousin, but they're both shi...

Re: Question for the Scots

Badfellow, you need to try Double Joker IPA from Williams Bros. The original Joker is great, really hoppy, but double joker is both twice as hoppy and twice the ABV.

Re: A Toast To Unemployment!

All sorted, lads. New job arranged and it includes an increased salary, so more drinking funds. Further away and a pain to get to, but them's the breaks.

Re: Question for the Scots

Belhaven 80 shilling is my favourite from Belhaven. Much prefer the Williams Bros brewery of Alloa, the Loch Lomond brewery, Innes & Gunn brewery, West Brewery or Brewdog brewery. Scotland is craft ale heaven.

Re: A Toast To Unemployment!

Got a few irons in the fire, lads. I'm not licked yet. One of which is working / living away during the week planting trees. Another couple are office things in Glasgow, so I won't starve. Cheers all.

Re: A Toast To Unemployment!

Here's to you, sir. If you find yourself desperate, gies a shout - I'm up towards Anniesland and usually found somewhere between the Esquire and Partick. Hope that you can still find the funds to get suitably loaded until another job shows up. I'm in a safe but utterly shite part-time/full-time job...

A Toast To Unemployment!

Just been told my company is folding and I have a month's work left. Broke the news to my wife and I'm now breaking open a bottle of Bell's whisky. Will you all join me in a toast to my impending poverty? Anyone else been laid off? Care to share your tales of woe?

Re: Boilermakers

First off,I demand you recant your blasphemy regarding the hallowed produce of John Jameson & Sons. Now that i've defended my first drinking love,I'll return to the topic on hand. I'm definitely an advocate of the proper boilermaker as an individual drink. Lighter lagers, especially pilsners and ame...

Boilermakers

Ladies, let's talk boilermakers. Are you a fan of the whiskey/whisky mixed with beer cocktail? Do you prefer the tried and true style of a shot and a beer side by side .i.e. a beer and whisky chaser? If mixing them together, what beer and whiskey/whisky would you choose? Do you like the classic Amer...
