I'm in! (again). So far today I have eaten one slice of pizza and a bag of cheese Doritos. I have now been drinking for 6 hours. A quick rummage through my Drawer of Important Stuff reveals I am out of painkillers. I may regret this tomorrow. Since I (a) am drunk and (b) feel I have to write at some...

I'm in. Woke up shortly before the kickoff in the Wales - England rugby game today, so it was gin for breakfast while watching the match with friends, then several post-game celebratory beverages (Wales won).

Apologies for the off-topicness. Vodka, anyone?

They have television in Scotland? Who knew... Believe me, the television in Scotland (and the UK in general) is filled with utter shite for the most part. I rely almost entirely on various electric interweb sites for my viewing pleasure. DanUK: Normally I would have daily lectures and so forth, but...

Shitty weather

It's cold and wet outside, and I have no pressing engagements for today. There's really only one sensible thing to do. I have Beam, Doritos and season 5 of Scrubs. Let the good times begin.

Never seen it in an off-license as yet. I did, however, pop my Sailor cherry (as it were) on last week's Rock Society trip to Glasgow. Smooth, spicy and oh so warming. You can't have just one. In part due to the SJ and in part due to the £1.30 drinks at the Cathouse, my memory of the night is hazy. ...

Ok, updates. I received today some nifty miniatures of the following - Kosenkorva Salmiakki Original (32% ABV) - Very sweet, with a nice anisey taste, and a hint of something I can't place. If you ever ate those penny Blackjack sweets, it's got a similar flavour. I'm enjoying it, but I don't think I...

On Stirling uni rock society's recent trip to Glasgow, someone came up with the brilliant idea of adding skittles to their bottle of Buckfast (famed in Scotland as a drink of neds ). I didn't get a chance to sample the concoction, but judging by the reactions of those who did, I'm almost glad I didn...

Guinness, I believe. I was used to my dad drinking beer, but I remember being fascinated by this black stuff. Asked for a sip, and made some standard response about the horrible taste and never drinking that stuff. How wrong I was.

Dillinger Escape Plan & Mike Patton - When Good Dogs Do Bad Things

A fantastic example of mathcore / post-hardcore done well. Mike Patton's vocals on this are incredible.

Now it's Slayer - Flesh Storm. Having given it some consideration, the best way to describe this song is "fucking awesome".

Re: Off Lisence Rules

Cigarette prices, however, are completely non negotiable. While all of the rules are valid, this one strikes me as particularly important. Having worked for a number of years in my family's grocery shop, I learned a bit about profit margins, etc. As I recall, we made something like 2 pence profit o...

A good end to a shitty week, smoking a couple of joints with a guy from my English tutorial, and now I'm having my first drink in several days. By God it feels good. As the booze hits my mouth and my throat and finally my stomach, as that loving warmth spreads throughout my body, I realise that this...

From what I can find out, pumpkin schnapps (or, rather a pumpkin liqueur known as Pumpkin Smash) was manufactured by Bols, and they discontinued it some time ago. A couple of posts on bartender.com recommend the use of either Torani pumpkin spice syrup or pumpkin puree in its place or, for those of ...
