The Hemingway, drawn from the namesake's underated book Islands in the Stream.

Essentially a gin and tonic with a mashed half lime and a double splash of Angostura bitters.

This kind of thing makes me want to return to my forsaken lady Gin. Long has it been since I've thrown pebbles at her window.

Forsaken? How could you ever give up on sweet sweet gin?

I'll never give up on Gin. But it has been too long, owing to cheaply acquired and verily satisfying handles of cheap Bourbon, of late. But each passing day brings us closer together again.

Indeed.

A lovely lady, her scent on the pillow and the sheets and the drawers,

Her taste upon your lips, like a spring morning in a dewy forest, ever green.

The clear-eyed sparkle as she gazes into another man's eyes at the bar;

She once knew you, and spoke her secrets to you well into the night.

One night,

to re-live it,

to change one's course and find a Hollywood ending

with her.

Man I wish I could sip gin again, dude

Well, then it's been too long since you had a better HBE pairing.
I just wish there were some actual drunkards around here who can handle themselves like adults while still acting like retards - liquor&poker
