I bought a bottle of OVD a few days ago. It's not great, but I can't get my northern Irish favourite's of McKibbin's or Thomson's Old Sailor. Lambs is great, but Wood' 100 is the king of dark rums. All bow down to the camp sailor of death

Mr Viking is quite correct, Wood's 100 is possibly the best rum that I have ever had, and I have had quite a few...

I've never tried it, but thank you Mr. Viking for the intel.

If it's all that good, I hope it won't spoil me for the lovely lasses of dark rum to be found in the alleys of Barbados and the brothels there...

Scintillating, indeed.

If you can find it, give Pusser's (Tortola/BVI) a try. I'm not a rum connoisseur, but I've gotten to sample quite a few in my travels. I enjoyed this one.

yeah, Pusser's is pretty excellent stuff. Never see it the shop though, and there's only one pub near me has it, so I always forget. Just checked on Peetie's link and apparently my nearest stockist is in Leicester. Bollocks

Pussers. I'm a professional mariner and this is the rum they embalmed Lord Nelson in. Easy choice.
