For autumn beers, I would go with dark or amber beers
Colder the weather then the darker and stronger the beer..... II'm so unseaonal though with my beer drinking...I'll be sipping imperial stouts in summer and quaffing pints of cold lager on xmas day. hah.

I do love a good Marzen though this time of year...could just be cause it reminds me of being at the festival.

Ayinger Oktoberfest is out. Find it. Drink it. Love it.

I would let them fight it out in my belly to see which is best.

be good to get all the Oktoberfest big hitters and do a blind taste test with them all.

I actually did this lat night but just with all the basic bitch lagers I had in....did 3 rounds so far with further competition scheduled this aftnernoon

Kronenbourg vs Carlsberg Export vs Stella
Staropramen vs Peroni vs Warsteiner
Heineken vs Grolsch vs Biera Moretti

first round surprisingly went to the Export which I had as firm underdog
second went to Staroprmen in a nail biter of a clash
third round went to Grolsch which I wasn't as surprised about.

Staropramen took it....the big dog from Czechia coming in for the win....that's only one league though. still got a whole set of further competition to see who faces Staropramen in the final.

Pilsner Urquell and Augustiner are clear favorites to do well in the second half of the contest.

I am loving the imperial stouts during these colder months. Dragons Milk(New Holland), Old Rasputin (North Coast), Ten Fidy(Oskar Blues). Good stuff. Cheers!

Had the Imperial Pumpkin Porter out of Epic Brewing last night.

It was nice, but I wouldn't buy it again. Too subtle on the pumpkin flavors for me.

I should probably just blend up a pumpkin pie and drink that.
Don't worry. We're in no hurry.

I used to be able to find a pumpkin porter and stout from Elysian around here. One had a panther on the label. Those are long gone now. I can still find the pumpkin ale though. I just don't drink it.

I’m fairly indifferent toward the pumpkin beer thing, especially with so much Oktoberfest to drink this time of year and holiday ale season right around the corner.

I miss this stuff on a cold winter night.

They either stopped making it or stopped shipping out my way.
