Don't know why you people want to save the very people who tried to rip you off by watering down their liquor
Seems to me the answer is to make them poor, until they sell the company to someone who'll restore the original recipe.
Signing a petition saving Jack is saving these clowns asses. And as soon as they think they can get away with it,
they'll water it down again. That's the type of people they are.
When a great bar with an great name gets bought and run by assholes, it's not a great bar anymore, it's time to move on.
Rest in Peace ,Jack

If we're boycotting the corporation- if we're refusing to buy ANY of their products unless they return an American icon back to what made it great- it would seem to me that we're trying to make them poor.

To: TJD distillery
We the undersigned have enjoyed Jack Daniel Tennessee Sipping Whiskey for many years.
We however protest the surreptitious drop in alcohol content over the past several years.
In the past 15 years the proof of TJD Black label has dropped from 90 to 86 to 80 proof.
In times past the Black Label version was purchased because of it's higher alcohol content. The Green label was always regarded as "Inferior" in quality.
Many have now boycotted the purchase of TJD Black label feeling that the clandestine drop in alcohol content of the "Black Label" is a breach of trust between Jack Daniel's distillery and the consumer.
We the undersigned petition that Jack Daniel's "Black Label" be returned to it's former glory of 86 - 90 proof.
Sincerely,
The Undersigned
Is this a boycott threat or a whimpering plea? Think your mistakenly using a shotglass as your monocle. I'll not sign that, drunks are Taras Bulbas, not Walter Mittys, you want the restoration of black label, I want the men who did this disgracefful act FIRED and the restoration of black label, nothing less is acceptable.

Ah the petition. nice to see it's still going strong.
i'm the 2nd signer and one of the original drafters.
does my liver proud to see tradition continuing.

Wild Turkey is one of my favorite ryes. It was hard to find for a while but the recent rye craze has made that less of a problem.

Now that is the sign of a well-read Drunkard, and one with insight into and passion for DRINK.Ozz wrote:...drunks are Taras Bulbas, not Walter Mittys, you want the restoration of black label, I want the men who did this disgracefful act FIRED and the restoration of black label, nothing less is acceptable.
Well met. (Even, if, ya know, you haven't been around lately.)
Cheers to you Ozz.
