I never get free pours here in Durango. Bartenders must hate my stupid fucking guts.

I also don't drink at bars very often, because, you know, that whole driving home thing.

I'm saving the lives of elk in statistical expectation.

A free pour would be nice..

A free elk wouldn't be so bad either

Free beers and elk burgers? What kind of strange new bar is this?
I don't recall bartenders ever giving me freebies. Of course my memory is shit and I haven't drank in bars in years.

I've had a couple of bartenders that would buy me drinks every two or three drinks or so. It gets uncomfortable after a while because I want to leave, but I feel obligated to stay if they pour me free one.

One of my bartenders used to buy me my first drink every time.

The only time a bartender ever gave me 'one on the house' was when he was testing out new drink ideas and it was after hours.

The bar closed down; he, the cook and I were cool so he made me a few experimentals. It was actually pretty cool.

The only problem was he couldn't remember the drinks he was throwing together. So when I asked him to make me another some time later he just shrugged like, "I don't remember."

Now I got a taste for an imaginary drink that doesn't exist anymore.
