Lets talk Hangovers

Post by dasbeaver »

I went out for a beer after work last night, and for some reason didn't get home until 3 am. I know, I don't understand either. I didn't take the proper precautions because I wasn't expecting to stay out so late - you know, things like eating first.

Anyway, this morning my head felt like Bob Sapp used it as a foot massager and my eyes were going in and out of focus with my pulse. I fixed up some alka-seltzer because I'm perpetually out of advil, and it really did the trick! I feel great now.

What are some of your remedies?

Gatorade. Replaces salts, electrolytes and re-hydrates. Perfect after sustained punishing physical activity, like marathons or serious drinking sessions.

I remember mixing Wild Turkey with Gatorade one night, it wasn't a pretty sight.

A huge whisky works for me as well but there is usually none left in the morning.

Actually, alkaseltzer and gatorade usually kick ass for me. Then I drink coffee once I get to work.

The best though, at least the best cure I've had, is lots of water or tea and maximum strength midol. I used to take some from my old girlfriend. I guess it has pain-killers, anti-depressants, and caffeene all in one. If you take it from your woman, though, make sure you replenish or there will be hell to pay.

Vitamins, codeine phosphate (2 x 30mg), tea, toast with something salty on it, and a brandy.
If that doesn't work, there isn't a hangover in the world that can stand against the power of a good stiff gin and tonic.

Menudo. Mexican soup, very spicy, hot. Made with tripe. Definitely kicks you into 4th gear.

Yeah I am, MMA is one of my favorite things. UFC and Pride mostly, I like K1, but don't watch it very often except for the Sapp/Kimo fight.

It just occured to me that some people may not get my Sapp reference, so here:
