3 day Souse

Post by temporary anonimity »

Palinka, there's a weekend coming up and here in the US it's a 3 day-er. Here's to the world's laborers, which this Monday honors. I will toast with an all day dranking party tomorrow (Mrs. Fiddich has promised not to give me shit like on Memorial day) and a steady buzz carrying through to 1 September, and beyond, since I may take some time off. For the party, the store's got a 55 can pack (really a cardboard barrel ready for ice) of Molsons for $31.99. Plus everyone brings shit, and I've got the bar fully stocked. Frilly shit for the tipplers, and lots of whisky for "us". Might even throw some kittens.

My man Sully73 is paying me a visit tomorrow and will regale me with several bottle-conditioned fifths of beer from Stoudt's brewery in PA. I will of course offer my ample liquor supply and obtain some whatnot in addition.

I'm not blue-collar but in this day and age the office grunt has the same role as the steel mill worker or coal miner did in ages past.

To all those who have to work for a living, I raise my glass in somber salute - work sucks.

I just got back from lunch and I did a bit of stocking up while I was out. Liter of Jim Beam for tonight is in the freezer and a half pint for the drive home. Of course I only live a mile and a half from work. Also got a few beers for the hangover tomorrow. Of course the hangover probably won't kick in until Tuesday.

The littlest Marine and her boyfriend are coming over, and we're going to BBQ ribs and drink. Doesn't get much better than that!

I just made a thread about this. Tonight we're draining a keg and cooking out some hamburgers and hotdogs, since in two days I'll have to go back to taking 5 classes a semester and working at least 20 hours a week so that I can afford to. Happy Labor Day everybody.

Nothing like a 3 day bender. I spent all of labor day eating TexMex and drinking light beer to undrunk up from it.
Started Friday at noon over at the local dive known as "Rag's". Then it was off to my friends for some NCAA 2004 to get fired for the opening weekend of college football. Saturday Drank a selection of Dewars and Jack while BBQ'in and watchin College ball. Sunday tailgated for the Horns game all day till about 5 then attended the game. The seagrams was flowing amighty river seeing as I take a shot everytime we score. I think I ended up at a pool hall cause I woke up with a waitress from the one downtown.

I have a newfound respect for vegetarians. With all the good enjoyable things they cut out of their diets, they still leave in alcohol.

I call those "lunch". It aids in speaking to the Man.

"Clark, where the Hell have you been?"

"Oh, I just got back from lunch."

"Well, get to work!"

"Right-o!"

No you haven't.
You may have had a two hour session.
But not a bender.
Take it from one who knows.
I'm even occasionaly coherent.
