How about:
Drink every time they parade some sick kid out on stage?
Drink every time they play some sappy piano music while going over someone's rough life?
Drink yourself blind ASAP so you can black out through the whole thing?
Or do what I will do: watch something else and get hammered anyway.

You could always listen to Sam Kinison's Leader of the Banned cd. The cut Jerry's Bastard Kid is hilarious. A man who was born with a devastating crippling disease used to be one of "Jerry's kids" or else he didn't make the cut--I'm not sure which. But he drunkenly rants about how much he hates Jerry--"Fuck Jerry Lewis, he never did anything for me!"
